The Trustees Visit
We are greatly honored to have hosted the Board of Trustees and the Board of Management last weekend. With only our Grade 9 and Form 4 candidates remaining on compound, the leadership took the opportunity to sit down with staff and reflect on everything Vanessa Grant Girls' School has achieved throughout 2026. These discussions were not just routine administrative check-ins but grounded, open conversations about where we are, how far we have come, and where we are heading next. Seeing the board engage so directly with our teachers highlighted the shared vision that keeps our school moving forward. It was a clear reminder that the progress we celebrate on the surface is fueled by steady, thoughtful leadership behind the scenes.
Beyond meeting with the staff, the board made it a point to spend dedicated time with our candidate classes right before they kicked off their national exams. Facing major exams can feel overwhelming, but having the school’s top leaders walk into the room with words of encouragement, practical wisdom, and belief gave our students a massive confidence boost. They reminded the candidates that their hard work over the years has prepared them for this exact moment and that the whole VGGS community stands firmly behind them. That personal touch transformed what could have been a high-pressure week into a time of focused determination. The girls left the session feeling valued, capable, and ready to give their absolute best during their exams.
The visit really brought into focus how closely aligned our management’s mission is with the day-to-day reality of life at VGGS. The strategic decisions made at the board level are not distant concepts but they directly shape the environment, quality of education, and supportive culture our girls experience every single day.
